Who we are
Website Legal Check is operated by Validicity Sweden AB (organisation number 559148-9496), Sweden, which is the controller for the personal data described here. For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@validicity.com. Website: validicity.com.
What we process and why
- The website address you submit and the publicly available content of that website (pages, links, scripts and response headers) that we fetch to run the check. Results can include contact details the website itself publishes, such as a company email address.
- Your questionnaire answers and the results and recommendations generated from them, so we can show your report and compare it with later scans of the same website.
- Which fix suggestions are clicked (the suggestion and provider, not who clicked), to learn which recommendations are useful.
- Your IP address, used at the moment of each request to protect the service against abuse. We store only a pseudonymous hash of it that changes every day, and delete it within 24 hours. Our hosting provider may keep IP addresses in technical logs for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
You don't need an account. We don't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't load fonts or scripts from third parties.
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing the check you request and keeping the service secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who processes the data for us
- Scaleway SAS (France): application hosting in Paris.
- Supabase, Inc. (USA): database, hosted in the EU (Stockholm, Sweden).
Reports and retention
Anyone with the link to a report can open it, so only share it with people you trust. Reports are not listed anywhere and ask search engines not to index them. We keep reports so you can return to them and compare later scans; email privacy@validicity.com if you want a report deleted. Abuse-prevention data is deleted within 24 hours.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, and object to or ask us to restrict its processing, by emailing privacy@validicity.com. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, imy.se).
